#1 Palming

  • Sit quietly with your eyes closed and take a few deep breaths to relax.
  • Rub the palms of your hands vigorously until they become warm and place them gently on your eyelids.
  • Feel the heat of the palms being transferred to the eyes and eye muscles. You will feel relaxed immediately.
  • Keeping your eyes closed, lower your hands and feel the dryness gradually go away.
  • Rub the palms once again and repeat this process at least three times.


#2 Blinking eyes

  • Sit comfortably with your eyes open.
  • Blink very quickly about 10 times.
  • Pay attention to your breath, close your eyes and relax for 20 seconds.
  • Repeat this exercise about five times.


#3 Side ways viewing

  • Sit with the legs straight in front of the body.
  • Now raise the arms, close the fists and keep your thumbs upwards.
  • Look at a point directly in front of you at eye level.
  • Keeping the head in this fixed position, shift your vision to this and focus on the following one after the other:

  1. Space between the eyebrows
  2. Left thumb
  3. Space between the eyebrows
  4. Right thumb
  5. Space between the eyebrows
  6. Left thumb

Repeat this exercise 10 to 20 times.

  •  After completing this exercise, close your eyes and relax.


#4 Viewing

  • Sit with the legs straight in front of the body.
  • Now, close the left fist and place it on the left knee so that the thumb is facing upwards.
  • Look at a point directly in front of you and at your eye level.
  • Keep the head steady in this position
  • Exhaling, focus your eyes on the left thumb.
  • Breathing in, focus your eyes on a point in front of you and at your eye level.
  • Repeat the same process with the right thumb.
  • Close your eyes and relax.


#5 Rotational viewing

  • Sit with the legs straight in front of your body.
  • Place the left hand on the left knee.
  • Hold the right fist over the right knee, with the thumb pointing up. Keep the elbow straight.
  • Now keeping the head still, focus your eyes on the thumb.
  • Keeping the elbow straight, make a circle with the thumb.

Repeat this exercise five times in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction.

  • Repeat this process with the left thumb.
  • your Eyes Shut down and rest.


#6 Looking up and down

  • • Sit with the legs straight in front of your body.
  • Keeping both the thumbs facing up, place both the fists on the knee.
  • Keeping the arms straight, slowly raise the right thumb up. Make the thumb movement upwards from the eye
  • When the thumb is raised to the maximum, slowly bring it to the lower position. Keeping the head completely still, continue to keep the eyes focused on the thumbs

Repeat the same process with the left thumb

  • Practice these five times with each thumb
  • The head and spine should be kept straight the whole time
  • Close your eyes and rest


#7 Preliminary nose tip gazing

  • Sit in a cross legged pose.
  • Raise the right hand directly in front of the nose
  • Make a fist with the right hand and keep your thumb facing upward
  • Concentrate both the eyes on the tip of the thumb.
  • Now bend the hand and slowly bring the thumb to the tip of the nose, while keeping the eyes centred on the tip of the thumb

In this position, keep the thumb on the tip of the nose for some time and keep the eyes focused ther

  • Gaze at the tip of the thumb and slowly straighten the arm
  • This constitutes a single round
  • Do at least five such cycle


#8 Near and Distant view

  • Stand or sit near an open window with a clear view of the horizon. Keep the arms by your side.
  • Focus on the tip of the nose for 5-10 seconds.
  • Repeat this about 10-20 times
  • Relax with your eyes closed
