There are alphabets such as alpha, beta, gamma and delta in Greek vocabulary. On the basis of which this name is being given to the variant of this virus.

Don't mistake Omicron infection as a cold

Just like beginning stage of Covid, An Omicron infection may look similar to a cold. Many things have come to the fore in the research done by Venky Sundar Rajan of Cambridge University.

Many cases of this new variant of Covid-19 (Omicron Variant) have been found in India as well as other countries. Which has become a matter of concern. Researchers are constantly trying to understand this variant. It has come to the fore in research regarding this new infection, that it looks like a common cold. So it has become very difficult to identify it. Researchers say that this virus may have acquired genetic material from the common cold virus. The Department of Health has added two more new things to Omicron's symptoms. First, it can cause very severe pain in your body.

And you may sweat profusely while sleeping at night, which can make your bedding or clothes wet.

Dry cough

A dry cough is also a symptom in Omicron patients, a symptom that has been observed in all strains of COVID-19 so far. Usually this dry cough accompanies sore throat. According to the data available so far, only mild symptoms are felt in Omron.
